R-Panel Metal Roofs on a House and Barn in Blue Ridge, TX
The Project
This is a real Lankford job in Blue Ridge, photographed on completion. The crew's own note: R-panel roofs installed on the house and the barn.
It is the kind of property where a roof is not one roof. Several buildings needed covering, and the owners wanted them to match and to last.
Why R-Panel On Outbuildings
R-panel is the workhorse of rural Texas roofing: exposed-fastener steel panels that go on fast, span a long way, and shed water and heat well on the big simple roof planes that barns and shops have.
On a house it reads differently again. The deep red here is a finish choice as much as a roofing one, and it is why the house and the outbuildings sit together rather than looking like two separate jobs.
Choosing The Material
The part the owners valued most happened before any panel went up: working out which material belonged on which building, and being told honestly that the shop roof was worth upgrading while the crew was already on site.
That is what our metal roofing work usually looks like on a rural property. Panels are the easy part.
The Result
The photographs below are the finished buildings. From the owners' five-star review:
"We had several buildings that needed new metal roofs. Great service and support in selecting the right materials and great input and advice on upgrading the shop roof. The crew were phenomenal. They worked quickly, efficiently and cleaned up everything when they left."
