New Tamko Titan Roof in Pewter Gray, Collinsville, TX

This is a real Lankford job in Collinsville, photographed on completion. The crew's own note reads: installed beautiful new Tamko Titan roof, Pewter Gray, for a great lady in Collinsville.

The house is a long low brick ranch set among mature oaks, with a wide patio across the back. The kind of roof where the run matters more than the pitch.

Pewter Gray is a mid grey with a cool cast, and on red and buff brick it does something a darker colour will not: it lifts the house rather than weighing it down. On a long low elevation that matters, because the roof is most of what you see from the road.

Tamko Titan is a laminated architectural shingle, so the roof reads as texture rather than as flat sheet. Across a run this wide, that shadow line is the difference between a roof you notice and one you do not.

A long low house is more roof than people expect. There are several planes here, a garage wing, a rear addition, and the junctions between them, each needing its flashing and its valleys done properly rather than quickly.

It is ordinary composition shingle roofing done carefully, which is most of what we do and most of what lasts.

The photographs below are the finished house. From the homeowner's five-star review:

"Wonderful company. Fast and reasonably priced. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. Would recommend."
