GAF Timberline HDZ Shingles and a U-Panel Metal Porch Roof in Denison, TX

This is a real Lankford job in Denison, TX, photographed on completion. The crew's own note on the job reads: "Our experienced roofing crew installed a new roof using GAF Timberline HDZ shingles. We also installed a metal roof with U panels made by Metal Warehouse."

The main house took a full architectural shingle roof. The attached porch, which has a much shallower pitch than the house, took standing metal U panels instead. A low-slope porch is exactly where shingles tend to fail early, because there is not enough fall to shed water quickly, so a metal panel system is the better long-term answer on that section.

Doing both in the same visit means one crew, one set-up and one finish date, and the two systems meet properly at the junction rather than being patched together by different trades months apart.
