Badly Hail-Damaged Roof Replaced in Gainesville, TX
The Project
This is a real Lankford job in Gainesville, photographed on completion. The crew's own note is blunt about it: replacing a badly hail-damaged roof on a home in Gainesville, Texas.
Gainesville sits at the western end of our Texas service area, and it catches the same spring hail line that runs across Cooke and Grayson County.
What The Spring Storms Did
The damage on this one came from the spring storms. When a hail event is bad enough, the question stops being whether to repair and becomes how fast a full replacement can be scheduled, because every following storm lands on a roof that has already lost its surface.
That is also when insurance enters the picture, and why we document what we find the way carriers expect rather than simply quoting a number.
A Full Replacement, Not A Patch
This roof was replaced rather than repaired. On a badly hailed roof a patch is usually false economy: the undamaged-looking areas have taken the same beating and will follow within a season or two, which means paying for access and set-up twice.
The work is our standard composition shingle system, the same build we fit across Texoma.
The Result
The photographs below are the finished house. The homeowner's five-star review:
"Used Lankford recently for damages that went down back in April. The guys knocked the work out quickly. Would strongly recommend these folks if in need of repairs from any of these spring storms."
